Good start to the year so far
Jan. 5th, 2010 05:00 pmMy spill cleanup is progressing well, and I can stop overreacting and have people over again.
I've been shown that I can be interesting; always nice when it happens.
I just came back from the optometrist's (typing as best I can while everything is bright and fuzzy, even with my sunglasses), and had the great news that my nearsightedness has improved! I went from a prescription of 7.00/6.00 to 6.25/5.25! So still the same spread in effort between the eyes. I'm running out of time for that to be able to improve, but I'm not giving hope.
I'll see how I feel tonight when I do my taxes now that the new forms are online. A quick calculation with last year's form gave an ugly amount to pay, but things may change. I do expect some payment, due to my back pay and lump sum having had taxes taken out at a lower level than the voluntary extra tax payments I've been doing to compensate the Ontario Health Premium. At least I have a few months to save it up...
