Home again, home again
Jun. 8th, 2013 11:36 am..all joggity inside. well, groggy. I was wheeled into surgery last night at 9:30pm, so good thing i hadn't eaten all day.
i now have a steel plate with titanium screws, near as i can figure out. operation went well, doc was happy this morning. i reacted very well to general anesthesia. no nausea. after a bit of a scare when they temporarily misplaced my $1500 cpap machine, i got to use it during the night. i don't think i slept much.
at 5am i was getting rather nervous and insistent about getting food. light fever and a stomach growling for something solid after 36 hours, my mom fed me tiny sips of water, jello, water, jello, milk, soda cracker, etc. waiting 5-10 minutes after every few bites, slowly getting more. orange jrllo never tasted so good.
so now i have triple whammy of post-op, lack of food and lack of sleep. can't do much about the first, taking care of second right now, and the third will hit hard.
