Chocolate map...
Apr. 7th, 2013 12:58 am...will definitely need some updating. Seems some on my list are not made in-store or near, but imported. Mind you, they're still better than other imported ones like Leonidas, but still.
Found a really nice Thai restaurant, then went next to the Dieu Du Ciel brewery pub - and oh my, they had some nice things. A gorgeous Lambic that ran out in less than an hour. A tripel made with Citra hops (Herbe à Détourne, should be bottled soon).
That was about all non-chocolate expenses, though. The tour was a roaring success, shall we say. Good thing I had already invited some to "help" me. Others are welcome, especially Sunday. My legs are not entirely happy with me. :)
Found what may be one of the last Pure Nacional bars from Christophe Morel, and another limited-edition bar from the same maker. Found again the Pralus 45% milk that is out-of-this-world creamy. Some new Canadian chocolate bar makers. And four new flavours from Chocobel (I chose in milk or dark as I figured would be best - he gave me the other coating types as a way to "properly judge". I bought 12 chocolates, I ended up with 7 more others for free... then again, I dropped enough money on him over ten years, he knows it's publicity for more later.)
